为了增进新加坡学生们对学习华文的兴趣，国家博物馆和教育专家 HandsonLearning Strategies 联手推出了《西游记》木偶工作坊。这个生动有趣的工作坊将通过讲故事活动、亲手制作木偶及呈现偶戏表演，让学生们认识到中国木偶戏， 也进而接触到 《西游记》这部中国古典神话名著。除了让学生们更了解传统木偶戏，这个工作坊也能从中开发他们的语言能力、想象力、团队合作与配合力等技能。
工作坊结束前，导览员将带领学生们到展厅，向他们介绍与讲解有关博物馆的木偶收藏品，进而加深他们对木偶戏的认识。

This fun and enriching school programme at the National Museum of Singapore is now offered in Mandarin! Students will be exposed to Chinese puppetry through storytelling, puppet play, craft work and other engaging activities. A great opportunity for language, creative skills and teamwork development! Workshop includes a guided tour of the Film and Wayang Gallery at the National Museum of Singapore.
