EQ:IQ - How to Help Your Child Excel

Proudly presented by HandsonLearning Strategies LLP

Dear Friends and Visitors,

At HandsonLearning Strategies LLP, we believe in creating conducive student-centred learning environments where students are constantly challenged to exercise and stretch their minds. At the core of our programmes, we encourage the natural intellectual curiosity that is innate in each child to question the obvious, think the deepest, and create the impossibleTM. Our specially designed activities and programmes will help students in their meaning making, in their thought process to think deeper and more critically about the topic at hand and eventually creating their personal understanding and new ideas based on this newfound knowledge. It is only through such in-depth involvement and empowerment that knowledge becomes internalised and learning becomes truly enjoyable. We strive to engage students by providing the support and conditions in which they learn best.

While quality and complementary learning outside the classroom is critical, this is only one part of the equation. Equally important is the experience and the quality of the classroom instruction and what parents can do to motivate, enhance and help your child excel, not only in school, but also in life. The objective of this blog is to provide practical and helpful tips for parents to provide a developmentally-grounded platform that can hopefully help your child reach his/her maximum learning potential. We want to share our knowhow and experience, so that as parents, you will be able to be actively involved in educating your child in a well-rounded manner, making him/her successful, not only in academics, but more importantly in other areas of development.

As part of the launch of our blog, our honorary advisor and veteran educator, Ms. Brenda Yeow (PBM), will be conducting a seminar with the same name at the National Museum of Singapore on 7th June 2008. Thanks to your overwhelming responses, the seminar has already been fully booked. However, if you have any questions or queries, please feel free to email us at info@handsonlearning.com.sg and one of our experts will get back to you. To benefit all readers, the response will be posted online at our blog (but the case will be disguised to protect your identity). We are sincerely looking forward to our conversations.

Talk to you next week!

From all of us at HandsonLearning Strategies LLP.
